The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Malang Prepares a Series of International Events and Academic Strengthening in 2026

BATU – The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held a Leadership Sharing Session on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Ar-Rahim Building to discuss various strategic agendas of the Faculty.

One of the main focuses is the preparation for ANSHAR 2026, scheduled for October 10, 2026. This international meeting will feature expert speakers, including Dr. Suziani from Singhealth Singapore and Prof. Nisak from Malaysia, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Hajj as keynote speakers. The first brochure is targeted for publication this April to attract the interest of both local and international participants.

In addition to ANSHAR, FKIK is also finalizing preparations for the SHIAM and MEDINA X events, which will be held on June 6 and 7, 2026, respectively. The committee plans to invite AI expert, Prof. Ezamin, to enrich the material for lecturers and educational staff.

In academic terms, the Faculty is preparing 21 medical candidates to participate in the national CBT tryout at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKUB). This has prompted strong encouragement from the leadership for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) to establish its own CBT Center to enhance the institution's independence in conducting exams. Furthermore, a new policy regarding modified class schedules, starting this week, will see Friday lectures conducted online, in accordance with the Rector's Energy Efficiency Policy.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) also received significant trust from the Rector, who appointed them to the organizing committee for the University Anniversary celebrations at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The planned culminating event will be "Fresh 2.0," featuring 3K to 10K running competitions.
