The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang successfully held the "FRESH" Fun Run activity —Fun Run Exploring Scenery of Highland— on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Ibnu Sina Building, Campus III, Faculty of Medicine, UIN Malang. This event was open to the public and was attended by approximately 650 participants, consisting of students, lecturers, educational staff, and the general public, who joined in the healthy community event.

The event began in the morning with a lively and enthusiastic participant registration program. Participants appeared eager to prepare themselves before starting the fun run activity. The “FRESH” Fun Run was then officially opened by the Rector of UIN Malang, Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Si. In his remarks, the Rector expressed his hope that the “FRESH” Fun Run would be an activity that could improve fitness, togetherness, and positive spirits within the campus environment. He also emphasized UIN Malang’s commitment to becoming an environmentally friendly campus, which is realized through various greening and tree planting programs in the campus area. In addition, he invited all participants to pray for UIN Ar-Raniry Aceh, which was affected by a natural disaster. He emphasized the importance of caring and solidarity among fellow academics throughout Indonesia.

Following the opening ceremony, participants began running a 5K race around the FKIK UIN Malang campus. Along the route, participants enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery of UIN Malang Campus 3, set against the backdrop of the mountains in Batu City, and breathed in the fresh air, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The event was lively and energetic, reflecting a spirit of healthy living and a concern for the environment.

In addition to the fun run, the event also featured various entertainment, including several student band performances and a performance from the FKIK Dance LSO, which brought an artistic and cultural nuance to the event. The event area also featured bazaar stands offering a variety of products, from health products and cosmetics to food and beverages, providing added value for participants and visitors. The event was further enlivened by a door prize draw that offered various attractive prizes. A joyful atmosphere filled the finale, especially for the lucky participants who won prizes.

“Fresh 2025 as running event The first FRESH event at UIN Malang can serve as a benchmark for implementation in subsequent years, with several evaluations and improvements in quality and quantity. It is hoped that FRESH will become a regular event next year and be held in the new building. Ar-Rahim campus 3” Said Mr. Yossi Indra Kusuma, S.Ked., M.Med., Ed as the chairman of the lecturer committee at this event. “Fun Run FRESH” in 2025 is one of the biggest activities of FKIK UIN Malang, not only a sports event, but also a means of friendship, as well as appreciation for student creativity, thus leaving a deep positive impression for all participants and is expected to become a regular agenda that inspires a healthy lifestyle, social awareness, and environmental conservation.
