Singapore, August 15, 2025 \u2013 The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has once again achieved international recognition. Lecturer and researcher, Dr. dr. Ermin Rachmawati, M.Biomed., was selected as a speaker representing Indonesia at the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare<\/em> \u2013 Singapore 2025.<\/p>\n

This prestigious international forum is organized by the BMJ Group together with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), with the support of the Ministry of Health Singapore, and supported by various strategic partners such as the National University Health System (NUHS), SingHealth, Duke-NUS, Joint Commission International, ACHS International, Mount Sinai International, MEG Healthcare, and KoSQua Korea.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The event will be held on August 13\u201315, 2025 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre<\/em> This event brought together around 1,800 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Africa, Canada, England, and even Singapore itself.<\/p>\n

In the forum, Dr. Ermin gave a presentation on HIPE. (Hajj Integrated Patient Empowerment),<\/em> FKIK UIN Malang's flagship program which focuses on health development for Hajj pilgrims from the waiting period to departure, with special attention to the elderly community and multi-ethnic communities.<\/p>\n

\u201c"Our HIPE program was selected after a very rigorous selection process, from administrative selection to a phased assessment by an international team. Thank God, the proposal, submitted a year ago, was finally announced as successful in February 2025, and will be presented at this forum," explained Dr. Ermin, Head of the HIPE Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang.<\/p>\n

However, he emphasized that this achievement was not the result of individual effort, but rather the result of collective hard work. "This is the effort of the entire FKIK UIN Malang community. This includes the full support of the leadership, the HIPE team's efforts, the role of the field supervisors, the dedication of the students, and the full trust of the Health Office, Community Health Centers, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, especially in Batu City. All parties contributed, and this is what earned this program international recognition," he emphasized.<\/p>\n

As a personal reflection, Dr. Ermin also shared his views regarding the meaning of HIPE and the role of universities in global health development:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe university plays more than an academic role. We are a bridge between knowledge and real-world impact. HIPE is more than a program. It is a movement, a commitment, and a promise \u2014 keep in our hearts this promise. We ensure that every pilgrim's body is as ready as their heart. Because for us, good health is not only a requirement for Hajj \u2014 it is an act of devotion in itself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/center>The audience response at the international forum was very positive. Several participants, including those from hospitals in Singapore, expressed interest in exploring collaboration with the HIPE program. One of the forum moderators even recommended that the program participate in WHO forums and other global health agendas.<\/p>\n

\u201c"This is just the first step. We must dare to dream and believe that with hard work, self-confidence, and solid team collaboration, our flagship program can become a real solution for improving global healthcare. Hopefully, HIPE will be known not only as a UIN Malang program, but also as Indonesia's contribution to the world," concluded Dr. Ermin.<\/p>\n
