Malang, July 2025<\/em> \u2013 The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is once again holding a prestigious selection event. Sapphire and Sapphire<\/strong>, as a representation of outstanding students who uphold the values of knowledge and morality of ulul albab. This activity received full support from the entire academic community, students, and sponsors who loyally supported this event, with the main sponsor being Snow White<\/em> And TAM Syariah Bank<\/em>.<\/p>\n Meilina Ratna Dianti, S.Kep., NS., M.Kep., the advisor of Safir Sfirah FKIK, stated that this selection is not merely a ceremonial event, but rather a means to select ambassadors who reflect the identity of FKIK students. "The criteria for finalists are being able to represent FKIK students who uphold good manners, ulul albab morals, and support the faculty's vision and mission of international standards," she explained. She also advised, "Good manners come first, followed by knowledge. I hope that you will carry out this mandate with heart and sincerity so that the results are optimal, while maintaining the good name of FKIK."\u201c<\/p>\n Larasati Sekar Kinasih, M.Gz., the advisor to Safir Safirah, stated that the event preparations were carried out collaboratively, despite challenges such as the proximity of the final exams. "The committee's focus was divided, but with the collaboration of all parties, the event still ran smoothly," she said. She hopes that the new Safir and Safirah management will carry out their duties sincerely and wholeheartedly, upholding good manners and ulul albab in every step.<\/p>\n In terms of participant quality, this year showed significant improvement. Khoirunnisa, SI Kom., CPS., CECS., one of the judges and also Miss Hijab East Java 2023, stated that the finalists' modeling and public speaking skills had significantly improved compared to the previous year. "Many participants successfully displayed confidence and character on stage," she said.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Choirun Izag, S.Pd., another judge known as the Indonesian Library Ambassador, as well as the winner of the title of Putra Putri Maritim Indonesia, Duta GenRe Malang, and Joko Roro Malang Regency, added, "The finalists have been able to represent themselves as prospective doctors and pharmacists who are not only intelligent, but also have social concerns. Hopefully, they will continue to develop their potential to have an impact on the faculty and the community."\u201c<\/p>\n One of the most touching moments of the event came from one of the student guardians, Ashfa's parents, the main winner of the Safirah category. "We are very grateful and touched by Ashfa's efforts. She is truly serious, always asking for our prayers and blessings. Since elementary school, she has always ranked first, and this time God has entrusted her with victory again," they said proudly. They also hoped that Ashfa would carry out her mandate well and were ready to support her if she continued on to university as a campus ambassador.<\/p>\n The Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), Dr. Alvi Milliana, M.Biomed, also expressed her appreciation for the increase in the number of participants and the quality of this year's selection. "Student enthusiasm is extraordinary, the number of applicants has increased, and the selection results truly show the best potential. The faculty's role is not only in terms of funding, but also human resources. FKIK lecturers also directly mentor the finalists," she explained. She emphasized the importance of the role of faculty ambassadors as representatives of FKIK in various campus and external activities.<\/p>\n This event is not just a competition, but also a process of character building and strengthening spiritual, academic, and social values.
